Pabbly Connect vs n8n: tasks against executions
Pabbly Connect bills each action on an external app as a task, while n8n Cloud bills each whole run of a workflow as one execution. A form entry that adds a spreadsheet row, creates a CRM contact and posts a team message is 3 tasks on Pabbly Connect and 1 execution on n8n.
As read on October 30, 2026, Pabbly Connect Standard is $19 a month for 10,000 tasks and n8n Cloud Starter is $24 a month for 2,500 executions, both billed monthly. n8n says the number of steps and the amount of data do not change the count, so long workflows favor its unit.

n8n's dollar figures come from the price list its pricing page loads for a US customer. No dollar price is given for n8n Cloud at 50,000 executions or for its Business plan.
| Item | Pabbly Connect | n8n |
|---|---|---|
| Unit | A task for each action on an external app | An execution for each whole run, whatever the steps |
| Entry paid plan, billed monthly | Standard $19, 10,000 tasks | Cloud Starter $24, 2,500 executions |
| About 10,000 a month, billed monthly | Standard $19 | Cloud Pro $60 for 10,000 executions |
| Billed yearly | Standard $16 a month, $194 for the year | Starter $240 a year for 2,500 executions; Pro $600 for 10,000 |
| Free option | Free plan, 100 tasks | Community Edition, free to self-host; Cloud trial, 1,000 executions |
| Scheduled checks | Checks for new data are not charged | A 5-minute schedule is about 8,600 to 8,900 executions a month |
Pabbly's Free plan of 100 tasks needs no card, and so does n8n's Cloud trial of 1,000 executions. Behind the Try Pabbly Connect button, Pabbly's plans page has the Free plan, so one workflow can be counted in tasks before you compare.
Self-hosting n8n: free software, your own server
n8n's Community Edition is its free, self-hosted edition and runs without a license key. n8n's pricing page prints no hosting cost, so the software is free and the server is yours to pay for. n8n's guide to choosing a setup names having infrastructure and technical resources as the mark of a self-hosting team.
Two limits are documented. The Community Edition leaves out some features, including projects, sharing, SSO and Git version control, and its license limits use to your own internal business purposes or non-commercial and personal use. Hosted n8n plans keep data in Frankfurt, Germany; Pabbly Connect's servers are in the US Oregon region.
Scheduled workflows and support
A scheduled workflow counts every run on n8n: n8n says one that runs every 5 minutes would use about 8,600 to 8,900 executions a month. Pabbly Connect does not charge for operations, its word for the checks it makes to an app for new data. Starter and Pro overage on n8n Cloud is listed as capped.
Both start support in a forum. n8n lists forum support for Starter and Pro; Pabbly calls its support forum the primary channel and gives a 10-hour reply goal that is not a guaranteed service level. The Pabbly Connect pricing guide has the plan terms.
Who should pick n8n, and who Pabbly Connect
- Pick n8n for long multi-step workflows counted once a run, or when your own technical staff can run it. See n8n vs Zapier and n8n alternatives.
- Pick Pabbly Connect for many short workflows with no server to run; Unlimited covers one business with a 100,000-task starting balance.
- Look at Make when its 10,000-credit Core tier fits a light workload.
A buyer willing to run a server can self-host n8n, where the software is free and the server is the cost. One who wants no server gets 10,000 tasks on Standard for $19 a month, billed monthly.
